Vacaville Tree Service Stump Removal
Vacaville Tree Service gets a lot of questions from our customers and we enjoy providing scientific, realistic responses. Well, we have gotten a lot of questions about what types of trees are the best to plant in the City of Vacaville, but we have not really written too much about it nor provided answers to these questions. There is a lot of new development in Vacaville, new homes being built, so it makes sense to write about this topic now so we can perhaps sway new homeowners into planting trees that will be successful.
How do you decide what trees to plant?
There are a lot of factors to think about when planting a tree. A couple questions to consider: What is the purpose of the tree? Do you want a fruit producing tree? Do you want a tree for shade? Privacy? Aesthetics? How tall and wide do you want the tree to be at maturity? By answering these questions, you will be able to weed out the trees you do not want on your property and perhaps find that tree that fits your mold. That is the goal of Vacaville Tree Service, find the tree that is perfect for you.
Choosing a tree that will be successful is important. Planting a tree to only see it die a year later is not something you would like to go through I imagine. You need to investigate trees that do well in Vacaville’s climate and soil. Climate plays an important role in tree growth. Vacaville does not typically have extreme weather conditions, discounting the crazy windstorms we have been having. Our seasons are moderate. But, if the recent windstorms are any indication of future weather conditions, it might be a good idea to look in to a tree that has a strong foundation and strong branches. Also, determine what kind of soil your property has. Most soil in the valley is adobe, a clay like soil, which can be difficult for certain trees to grow in. Give one of Vacaville Tree Service Certified Arborists a call for more information.
Here are a list of tree Vacaville Tree Service Recommends:
  • Maple – This tree grows at a rapid rate reaching heights of 40-50 feet and widths of 30-40 feet. The tree is an excellent source of shade and when the fall season arrives, the leaves change to a beautiful orange-red. If you do not like picking up leaves during the fall, this tree is not for you.
  • Black Tupleo – Full grown this tree will reach 30-50 feet high and 20-30 feet wide. Leave turn a beautiful red during the fall and winter. It does not require a lot of water and it does not provide great shade.
  • Like Oak – This tree can grow up to 70 feet tall. Native to California, this tree requires a large space to grow and does extremely well in full sun.
  • Redbud – Stands 10-12 feet tall at maturity. It produces dark purple flowers in spring, requires a moderate amount of water, and does well in full sun.
  • Deodar Cedar – This tree stands 40-50 feet tall at maturity and 20-30 feet wide. It is dark green in color. Be sure to plant away from walkways and driveways as the root system has been known to damage surrounding areas.
  • Sweet Bay – Full grown the tree is 30 feet tall and 15 feet wide. It can be a tree or a shrub; all depends on how you trim and prune it. Water needs are low and when prune right, it can serve as an excellent privacy source.
These are just a few of the trees that we know will thrive. Give us a call if you would like to know about other trees that will do well in your area. Vacaville Tree Service is here and ready for your call.

I’m interested in recommendations for planting a new tree in our backyard. A forty year old Almond was just removed. We live in Vacaville.

Planting in late summer for a fall harvest has numerous benefits (soil is formerly warm; temperatures are cooler, less pests). But despite, the challenge is acquiring your crops harvested before the winter frosts start up. When we count fall planting dates (which are actually in the summer), we must look up for many factors, for example the time to harvest formerly the crop is mature and whether a crop is delicate or hardy when it comes to frost. The "days to maturity" of a crop and the measure of your growing season also characterize into whether you begin to seeds early indoors or straightaway grow seeds into the ground outside.
